It is being rendered entirely by a RenderMan renderer,
whatever version Pixar has in-house. Presumeably, all modeling and
animation is being done with in-house Pixar software. It is
definitely *NOT* a one-man project... they have been working on it
for 4 years, with over 150 people on the project for sure, maybe
more. Yes, the character animation is superb. The characters are
hysterically funny. The acting of the characters is simply awesome.
Those toy soldiers are really a kick! Very well done.
